Monadnock 1

This is my favorite image of Stone Mountain. I love the relationship between the majestic mountain and the lone tree. 

The visible above-ground section rises to a height of 825 feet with a five-mile circumference. At its base, it is estimated to weighover 633 million tons. 

The weathered streaks on the surface are scars from when the mountains were formed, and growths of mosses + lichens from cascading rainwater.
